Erica Ottenberg is an Emmy Award-winning writer and creative director. An erstwhile theater major, Erica earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. Upon the realization she was far better at writing material than performing it (please don’t ask her to cry on cue), Erica shifted her focus to writing for film and TV. For over twenty years, she wrote and produced content for kids & families at Nickelodeon.
When not writing fart jokes for SpongeBob SquarePants, Erica side hustled as a ghostwriter, authoring three books in Madonna’s THE ENGLISH ROSES series for middle-grade readers. She is also a winner of Writers’ Hour Magazine’s flash fiction contest.
Once and always a tween-at-heart, Erica has been an avid reader and writer of Young Adult fiction all her life. CONFESSIONS OF A GHOSTWRITER is her unpublished debut novel. She lives with her husband, two kids, and pet mice (yes, mice) in New York City.
